GMR Nagpur International Airport Limited (GNIAL) will lead the phased modernisation, development, and operation of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, under a long-term concession agreement. The project aims to strengthen Nagpur’s role as a key aviation gateway for Central India while supporting passenger and cargo growth in the region.

An Aviation Hub In The Making

GNIAL has been entrusted with theupgrade, developmentand operationof Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, following the concession agreement signed with MIHAN India Limited in October 2024.

Located in the geographic centre of India, the airport serves as an important gateway for passenger travel and cargo movement across Central India. A phased development programme isplanned to expand passenger handling capacity while strengthening the airport’s role in regional connectivity and logistics.
