GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL) is developing Bhogapuram International Airport, a greenfield aviation project designed to bring modern airport infrastructure to Andhra Pradesh’s northern coastal region. The airport will strengthen regional connectivity while supporting future passenger and cargo growth along India’s east coast.

A Strategic Greenfield Airport Development

GVIAL is developing Bhogapuram International Airport under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis. Located approximately 45 km northeast of Visakhapatnam on Andhra Pradesh’s east coast, the airport is being developed as a modern aviation gateway for the region.

The first phase of development is planned to support 6 million passengers annually, serving both domestic and international travel while strengthening regional connectivity and economic growth.
